02 / Installing one

Three steps.

The same three for every one of them. If you have installed a WordPress plugin before, nothing here will surprise you.

  1. 01

    Download the plugin

    A single .zip file. Leave it zipped — WordPress wants it exactly as it comes.

  2. 02

    Upload it to WordPress

    In your admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the file, then Install Now.

  3. 03

    Activate, and follow the setup

    Press Activate. A short setup runs once. It asks what kind of shop you have and sets sensible defaults from your answer.

03 / What you need first

Before
you start.

Three things, and most shops already have all three. If you are not sure, your host can tell you in a minute.

WooCommerce
Active. These are WooCommerce plugins — they use the products, orders and customers you already have.
WordPress 6.5
Or newer. Tested to 7.1.
PHP 8.1
Or newer. Most hosts are well past this. If yours is not, your host can change it for you.
