Help shoppers find it in three clicks

Smart Filters lets people narrow your shop by size, colour, brand and price — and shows how many products each choice will leave before they click it. Nobody lands on an empty page. Nobody gives up on page four.

01 The problem

Shops lose people
who wanted to buy

Not because the product was wrong. Not because the price was wrong. Because finding it was too much work.

Page four of nine. Most people stop at page two.

01

They cannot find it, so they leave

Someone wants a navy shirt in medium. You have one. But they are on page four of ninety products, and most people give up on page two.

They chose Navy × XL ×

No products found

Every one of them was in S, M or L. Not one in XL.

02

They click, and get nothing

They pick a size and a colour, and the shop says nothing found. Now they believe you have nothing — when really they picked two things that never go together.

Without filters

the navy ones are in here somewhere 😅

With Smart Filters

these ones 👇

…/shop?filter_colour=navy&filter_size=m Navy · Medium

7 products. Exactly what Priya meant.

The address remembers what she chose, so the link carries it.

03

They cannot send it to anyone

Somebody finds the right thing after ten minutes of scrolling and wants to show someone. But there is no address that means "the navy ones in medium" — only one that means "the whole shop" — so the person they send it to starts from scratch.

02 What it does

They can narrow it down by anything you sell

Size, colour, brand, material, price, what is in stock, what is on sale. Whatever your products already have, shoppers can filter by. You never enter anything twice.

  • Colours show as real colour dots, sizes as neat little boxes
  • Categories, brands and tags work too, not only product attributes
  • A price slider, and boxes to type an exact range

It tells them how many, before they click

Next to every choice is the number of products it will leave. Navy (12). Medium (4). Nobody clicks into an empty page, because they can see what is waiting.

  • A choice that would leave nothing is greyed out, not hidden
  • So they learn you have no navy in medium — instead of thinking you have nothing at all
  • The numbers change as they choose, and they are always right
Before they clickCounts, live

They have picked Medium. Now every colour says what is left.

Beige is greyed out, not hidden — so they learn you have no beige in medium, rather than thinking you have no beige at all.

They can share what they found

Every choice is saved in the web address. A shopper can bookmark it, send it to their sister on WhatsApp, and she opens exactly the same twelve products.

  • The back button works the way people expect
  • Google can read your filtered pages, which brings you visitors
  • Nothing is lost if they close the tab and come back later

Found it! Navy, and they have your size 😍

She opens it and lands on 7 products — already narrowed, before a single script has run.

It looks like your shop, not like a plugin

Your products keep the exact look your theme gives them. Smart Filters narrows the list your theme already draws instead of drawing its own — which is why it works on themes we have never seen.

  • Above the products, in a sidebar, or wherever you place it
  • On a phone it tucks behind a Filter button, so products stay at the top
  • Filter and Sort sit side by side, where a thumb reaches both

On a phone

It keeps working when things go wrong

On a slow phone, on bad signal, before the page has finished loading — the filters still work. Most filter plugins do nothing at all until everything has loaded.

  • Every control is an ordinary link, so it works with no scripts at all
  • When scripts do load, results swap in without reloading the page
  • Your shopper keeps their place instead of jumping to the top
Scripts blockedBad signal

The page has loaded. The scripts have not. She taps Navy.

A panel built out of scripts Nothing happens
Smart Filters 7 products, filtered

Because every control is an ordinary link. Scripts make it quicker; they are never what makes it work.

It does not slow your shop down

Working out those numbers is the expensive part, and most plugins do it badly enough that they tell you to switch the numbers off. We rewrote it so the whole panel is worked out in one go.

  • One question to the database for the whole panel, not one per group
  • Nothing to turn off to make your shop fast again
  • Tested on shops with tens of thousands of products
A panel with nine groupsPer page load
The usual way — one per group 9 questions
Smart Filters — the whole panel at once 1 question

Which is why there is no “turn the numbers off to make it fast” setting. There is nothing to turn off.

You get a licence key. You paste it into WordPress once, and after that updates arrive on your Plugins page like every other plugin. It renews once a year on its own, and one button in your account stops that — no email to write, nobody to ask.

04 Getting started

Three steps,
about five minutes

01

Install it

Add it from your WordPress plugins screen and turn it on. Filters appear on your shop straight away, using the sizes and colours your products already have.

02

Change what you want

One settings screen. Drag the groups into the order you like, rename anything, and watch the panel change as you go. Nothing to save and go and check.

03

That is it

Your shoppers can find things. If you want the Pro features later, your settings stay exactly as they are.

05 Questions

Things people ask us

Will it work with my theme?

Almost certainly. It narrows the product list your theme already draws instead of drawing its own, so your products keep looking exactly as they do now. The free version costs nothing, so the surest way to know is to put it on your shop and look.

Do I need to know any code?

No. Install it, and filters appear using the sizes and colours you have already set up. There is one settings screen if you want to change anything, and it shows you the result as you change it.

I have paid. What happens next?

You get a licence key by email, with a link that signs you into your account — there is no password to think up. Paste the key into WordPress once, under WooCommerce → Smart Filters → Pro, and from then on updates arrive on your Plugins page like every other plugin. Your account also shows which websites the key is in use on, and lets you free one up yourself when you change hosts.

Can I get my money back?

Thirty days to change your mind — a full refund, no questions. Write to [email protected] and we will send it back, with no form to fill in. We would honestly rather you ran the free version on your shop first, so that buying is a decision you have already tested.

What happens if I stop paying?

It renews once a year on its own, and you can stop that with one button in your account. If you do, your filters keep working — you only stop getting new versions and support. We will not switch off something your customers are using because a card expired.

How many websites can one licence be used on?

That depends which plan you buy — one, five or twenty-five. You can move a licence between sites yourself from your account, so changing hosts is not a problem.

Is the free version limited on purpose?

No. The free version is a complete filter plugin with no cap and no nagging. Pro adds the one thing the free version deliberately leaves out: filtering on your own custom fields and ACF fields — a fabric weight, a warranty length, a room size — which is what a shop needs once its products carry more than WooCommerce’s own attributes.

I have a lot of products. Will it be slow?

No. The slow part of filtering is the counting, and we rewrote that so the whole panel is worked out in one question to the database rather than one per filter. It has been tested on shops with tens of thousands of products, and there is no setting to turn off to make it fast — there is nothing to turn off.
