Wishlist: getting started

Shoppers save what they like and find it again later — even if they were not logged in when they saved it.

1. It works straight away

After activating, a heart appears on product photos in your shop and a Save for later button beside Add to cart on product pages.

2. The wishlist page

Create a page called "Wishlist" and put this shortcode on it: [codebold_wishlist]. Saved products appear there, with Add to cart and Remove.

Shoppers who are logged in also get a Wishlist tab in My account.

3. Show it in your header

  • Elementor: add the Wishlist Link widget. It shows a heart and how many items are saved.
  • Anywhere else: use the shortcode [codebold_wishlist_link].
  • Or, in the settings, choose a menu to add the heart to.

Building product cards with a page builder? Add [codebold_wishlist_button] (or the Elementor Wishlist Button widget) to the card.

4. The settings

Go to WooCommerce → Wishlist. You can choose:

  • Where the button shows: on shop photos, on product pages, or both.
  • Heart and words, or heart only.
  • Whether shoppers without an account can save (their list is kept in their browser for the number of days you set, and moves to their account when they log in).
  • Whether a product leaves the wishlist when it is added to the cart.
  • The colour.

The Overview tab shows the most-wished-for products. Moving from YITH Wishlist? The Import tab brings saved lists across.
